What better way to work off those holiday bakes than running in one of the most scenic areas in the Pacific Northwest? Forest Park is a runners paradise, with numerous trails and countless miles of exploration! We will meet at Clark College in the Red 1 Parking Lot and depart to Forest Park promptly at 9:05am. The workout will be dependent upon the population of runners, but the idea is to get in a few miles of running, while doing a bit of hill work as well. We will arrive back at Clark between 11:15-11:30am.
Meeting Location: Clark College, Red parking lot (click here for map).
Training Location: Click for directions to Thurman Gate at Forest Park entrance. Written: To reach the main entrance to Leif, head south on I5, W on 405 for ½ mile, veering right towards Hwy 30 but stay on off-ramp and go towards Vaughn St. Once on Vaughn, go past the first light to avoid traffic, and at the next light, take a left, then a right on Thurman. Follow Thurman to the gate (about 1.5 miles) and park in a designated spot (it will likely be busy). Be sure to take shoes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty.
Carpool: Runners can ride with Coach Dave, Pacer Hillary (Ashley’s mom), or Rikki (Kiley’s mom). If any other parent(s) would like to help with carpooling, please let Coach Dave know. Thank you!
