General Information: The following link is a downloadable PDF meet flyer, which includes the meet schedule, race start times, age divisions, parking, team scoring, and more, for the 2019 USATF PacNW XC Association Meet.

FRIDAY
Course Preview:
I will plan to be at Woodland Park by 4pm on Friday for a course preview. I do realize that this is a less than desirable time, given school and work schedules, along with drive time, but it will allow us time to check into our hotel(s) (see Lodging below) and make it to dinner (see Dinner below) on-time. Plan to depart Woodland Park by 5:00-5:30pm (depending on weather and the timeliness of everyone showing up) so we can get to the hotel for check-in.

Maps:

Travel: The location of this race is Woodland Park, just north of Seattle.

Lodging UPDATE: The rooms at the Holiday Inn Express are completely booked. If you still need a room, please contact D’Shawna Lee at the Holiday Inn Downtown Seattle. Their address is 211 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA, their phone number is (206) 728-8123, and D’Shawna’s email is abay@bmihospitality.com. I have found it most productive to communicate via email. Aim to book your room(s) before October 31.

Dinner: There are several options, but in the spirit of distance running, we will be having dinner at the Tutta Bella (South Lake Union location - 2200 Westlake Avenue, Ste. 112, Seattle, WA 98121) at 7pm.  Click here for the Tutta Bella website, menu, and location.  This venue is less than a mile from the hotel, so we will plan to walk. In the case of rain, be sure to bring an umbrella. This will primarily be for the kids - parents fend for themselves, however, if there is room in the restaurant, obviously you are welcome to join us. Please meet in the lobby of the hotel at 6:40pm so we can walk to the restaurant together. Each child should have $20 to cover their meal, tax, and tip.

SATURDAY
Breakfast: The hotel offers a free continental breakfast, which includes mediocre pancakes, “eggs”, breakfast meats, fruits, cereals, breads, juices, and more. It’s actually not terrible. To the best of your child’s ability, encourage them to eat a normal breakfast and have ample water. There will be running-related snacks at the Whisper canopy, but you might want to have a brunch or lunch planned, as races span through the early afternoon.

Whisper Runners: Plan to meet at the Whisper canopy in Woodland Park within 90-minutes of the start of your race.
